The application of chicken manure improves the availability of phosphorus (P) in the soil. This study evaluated its effect on P fractions in a sandy loam Ultisol with nine rates of chicken manure (0 - 14 Mg ha-¹) in a completely randomized design experiment under greenhouse conditions. After 60 days of incubation, P fractionation revealed 3.2 mg kg-¹ and 1.57 mg kg-¹ increases in the labile and moderately labile fractions per Mg of chicken manure applied, respectively. The application of chicken manure increased total P, favoring its availability in the short-term, without affecting residual or non-labile P.
